Marigold Cartography is a custom honeymoon story-print studio. We collect only what we need to talk with you and make your piece, and we don't sell your information to anyone.
What we collect
- What you submit through the inquiry form: your names, email address, honeymoon destination and timing, and any optional note.
- Your email address if you join the newsletter.
- The photos, stories, and materials you choose to share so we can design your commission.
- Basic, privacy-respecting site analytics (page views and referrals), if enabled. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and send a link to book your consultation.
- To design, proof, produce, and ship your commission.
- To send occasional studio updates — only if you opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Your photos and materials
Anything you share is used only to create your piece. We will not publish your photos or use your commission in our portfolio or on social media without your permission, which we ask for separately in a short photo-usage agreement before work begins.
Who we share it with
Only the services we use to run the studio — for example, scheduling, payment processing, email, and our print and framing partners — and only the minimum needed to complete your order. We never sell your data.
Access, changes, and deletion
Email hello@marigoldcartography.com any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you.
Commission terms
Every Marigold piece is custom, made to order, and designed in collaboration with you. By commissioning a piece, you agree to the following.
How a commission works
Inquiry → consultation → deposit → design → proof and revisions → your approval → printing → shipping. There is no payment until after your consultation.
Payment
To begin design we ask for a 50% deposit, with the remaining 50% due before printing. Prices are as listed on the site at the time you order. Framing and any optional extras are quoted separately and confirmed with you before they're added.
Revisions and approval
Each tier includes revision rounds (one for Signature, two for Heirloom, three for Bespoke). The proof stage is when we adjust the design together. Nothing is printed until you approve the final proof. Additional revisions beyond your tier's included rounds may be quoted as a small add-on.
Turnaround
Estimated delivery windows are listed by tier and begin once your proof is approved. They are good-faith estimates and do not include shipping-carrier delays outside our control. If you have an anniversary or gift deadline, tell us in your inquiry and we'll plan around it.
Rights and your content
You confirm that you have the right to share the photos and materials you send us. The studio retains the rights to the artwork and design it creates; you receive the finished physical piece for your personal use. We may show your finished commission in our portfolio only with your permission (see the photo-usage agreement).
Cancellation
If you cancel before design work begins, your deposit is refundable less the value of any consultation already held. Once design work has started, the deposit covers the work performed and is non-refundable, though we'll always try to find a fair resolution.
Refunds, revisions & damage
Made-to-order pieces
Because every piece is personalized for you, we don't offer change-of-mind returns once a proof has been approved and printed. The proof stage exists precisely so you can shape the piece before anything is made — we don't print until you say it's right.
If it arrives damaged
Please tell us within 7 days of delivery and include photos of the shipping box, the label, and the piece itself. For clear carrier or production damage, we'll arrange a replacement at no cost to you.
Production defects
If a piece leaves the studio with a production defect, we reprint it at our cost. Every order passes a quality check before it ships — color, edges, paper, photo reproduction, and text are all reviewed against the approved proof.
